What is your jewelry made of?

Everyday Jewelry

Our everyday jewelry is made with 14k gold plating, platinum or rhodium plating, 14k rose gold plating, brass, stainless steel, and cubic zirconia. All of our jewelry is nickel and lead-free.

Sterling Silver

Our Sterling Silver jewelry is rhodium-plated sterling silver. Please keep in mind when shopping, we have some products that are silver colored, but not Sterling Silver. Our silver pieces are made with rhodium-plated brass.

Vermeil

Ver-what? Repeat after us: ver-may (simple, right?) Now that you’ve got the pronunciation down, let’s talk details. Our jewelry is always created with high quality materials, but our Vermeil pieces take it to the next level with 18k gold, that’s 2.5 microns thick, layered over sterling silver and real, slightly included round-cut diamonds. This exclusive line brings a little luxury to your everyday, especially when properly cared for.

In order to be Vermeil, jewelry must meet the following quality conditions:

  • Base material is sterling silver (92.5% pure silver + 7.5% other materials)
  • Gold plating must be at least 10k (karats)
  • Plating is at least 2.5 microns thick (1 micron = 1/1000th of a millimeter)

Diamond Certifications:

  • Color: H-G (Near Colorless)
  • Clarity: VS (Very Slightly Included)
  • Cut: Round

Variations in Gold Hue

There are natural variations in all metals, and these variations are very common in gold. The reason being is that molecules of the base metal slowly transfer into the layer of gold. The variation in hue you are seeing is based on different alloys in the gold mix that can change how gold appears.
